This multi-year renovation and addition project involved the total rehabilitation of an 1825 cottage and accompanying barn. No space was left untouched. >
This 1926 Tudor estate by George Earnest Robinson emulates the fine estates of Great Britain and features ashlar stone exterior walls interspersed with stucco and hand-hewn white oak timbers, rough slate roofing, copper downspouts and gutters, decorative clay chimney pots. >
Due to its historic location, this project has been subject to review by the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Historic Charlestown and the Boston Zoning Board of Appeals. >
Red Barn partnered with Red Hammer Builders on a whole house renovation to modernize the home once more, returning to its origin as a single-family home. >
