In collaboration with Brown Dog Properties, we designed this custom all-electric home to Passive Home standards. Designed to capture views and light, a soaring double atrium living room with a glass rear wall is the heart of this home. A bespoke white oak kitchen built by a local cabinetmaker features thoughtful and built-in storage. A custom designed steel and oak staircase leads to the dramatic second floor catwalk. The home includes four bedrooms and three and a half baths, including a generous primary en-suite with a soaking tub overlooking the backyard via a large casement window. Other spaces include a dedicated home office, finished basement and three-car garage with electric car charging ports. A rear bluestone patio, screened-in porch, and private outdoor shower further enhance the great outdoor living this unique Essex home offers.

The design utilizes advanced building concepts to minimize thermal transfer and heat loss and to preserve internal heating and cooling energy. German Schüco triple-pane windows and doors provide tilt and turn function, and uber efficiency. The home also features a Zehnder whole home air vent and heat pump heat and air conditioning.
